Explore the story behind the sculpture below.
Tim “Avicii” Bergling was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer. He is one of the world’s most influential artists in electronic music with global hits such as Wake Me Up and Levels. His music continues to touch millions, and his concerts bring people together from all over the world.
In 2015, conversations began between Tim’s team and the Non-Violence Project about Tim becoming a Peace and Non-Violence Ambassador. As part of this dialogue, a customized version of The Knotted Gun was developed and approved, inspired by the visual identity of his album Stories.
After Tim’s tragic passing, the dialogue was resumed in 2024 together with the Tim Bergling Foundation to carry this work forward and honor Tim’s legacy. This journey culminated on October 2, 2025, the International Day of Non-Violence, when Tim “Avicii” Bergling was officially announced as a posthumous Peace and Non-Violence Ambassador. The unveiling of the sculpture Avicii by Tim Bergling Foundation took place in his hometown Stockholm, together with his father Klas Bergling and the foundation. The design presented was a continuation of the version created years earlier, now finally revealed to the public.
In connection with the launch, the Non-Violence Project and the Tim Bergling Foundation presented a new educational program for children and young people, focused on strengthening mental well-being and preventing violence. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the sculpture help us educate young people, while the other fifty percent support the global work of the Non-Violence Project and its continued mission.
The sculpture is hand-painted resin in Limited Edition. It comes with a gift box and a certificate.
